![]() However, Terra's armor becomes sentient and manages to fight off Terra-Xehanort. Terra fights Xehanort, and ultimately loses the fight, and has his body taken over by Xehanort. ![]() The ensuing fights do not work out for the three friends. Master Xehanort reveals that he plans to open Kingdom Hearts using Ven to make the χ-blade and that he wants to take over Terra's body in order to cheat death and regain youth. The three friends meet up later, at the Keyblade Graveyard. Master Xehanort starts to lead Terra to the darkness. Terra is confronted by Xehanort, who we find out is trying to steal Terra's body to remain young. Eraqus gives her his keyblade, Master Keeper, and tells her to protect Terra and Ven. Aqua later returns to their homeworld, where she sees Master Xehanort kill Eraqus. Terra mortally wounds Eraqus and becomes horrified by his actions when Master Xehanort arrives to deal the deathblow. Eraqus decides to kill Ven when Terra intervenes and they fight. Ven returns to Master Eraqus who discovers that Master Xehanort plans to use Ven to recreate the χ-blade which is the only item capable of opening Kingdom Hearts and unleashing unlimited knowledge and power. A similar event happens with Aqua, back in Radiant Garden, who gives a Keyblade to a girl named Kairi. Seeing himself in Riku, he performs a Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony to give Riku his own Keyblade in the future. He meets a boy named Riku and his friend Sora (the protagonist of later games). Ven agrees, and tries once again to follow Terra.įurther along the story, Terra lands in a world called Destiny Island. Terra is angry and jealous of Aqua, and believes she's letting the superiority of becoming a master get to her head and leaves once again. Eventually, the three protagonists all end up in Radiant Garden (known as Hollow Bastion in KH1, KH:COM, and a large part of KH2). Through the ensuing story, all three characters visit different Disney-themed worlds and accomplish different tasks. Ven follows Terra, and Aqua leaves to follow and retrieve Ven. Terra is angry, and spurred on from a few words from Xehanort, leaves the world. Master Xehanort sabotages the exam and while Aqua passes the exam, Terra fails it. The exam is proctored by their teacher, Master Eraqus, and Master Xehanort. ![]() Ventus' friends, Terra and Aqua, are ready to take the mark of mastery exam, and if they pass, they will be deemed as Keyblade masters. Fast forward a few years and he, and his two friends, are training to become keyblade masters.
